Willamette View can be accessed for any has strong in-home care and home health care services with well-trained staff who are less than four miles a way. We have no minimum hour requirements and enjoy easy access to this vital community service. Our friends at Willamette View also have excellent onsite case management helping Homewoods residents to focus on their goal to stay independent. Should a short stay in skilled nursing become necessary, we also have access to nursing care at Willamette View. We thenn work as a team to bridge people home to their independent living apartment with services in place here at Homewoods to meet their needs. Should assisted living become necessary, we also have a longstanding relationship with Homewood Heights Assisted Living up the hill from us. Many of our Homewoods on the Willamette community members enjoy attending weekly and annual events at “the Heights”, making it a familiar and welcoming setting.

There are a number of banks nearby on McLoughlin Boulevard, including Wells Fargo and US Bank. The Homewoods bus is available to take residents to the bank of their choice each Tuesday a.m.
Homewoods residents enjoy the outdoors and many are avid gardeners. The Bob Veley blueberry patch on the east side of the building is highly productive and maintained by Homewoods residents in collaboration with ProScape our yard care service. Further down Williams’ Walk we also have raspberries available in mid to late summer. Finally, at the ground level , facing the river on the north side of the grounds, we have eleven raised bed gardens available for resident use. The garden spaces are given away by lottery each spring. Residents may choose to share a box or put their names in for a box all their own.
Our interior courtyard is beautifully landscaped and contains a small river that flows into our koi pond which is maintained year round. There are garden spaces for resident use at the top of the courtyard on the eastside. These beds are typically used for flowers.
Many of our residents enjoy walking around the grounds each day. Some avid walkers continue the walk down River Rd. or across Boardman Avenue to the nearby Trolley Trail. There are a number of parks within walking distance also.

Resident Services (1)
Homewoods residents maintain active, independent lifestyles that focus on the things they love to do. Some pursue artistic interests such as painting or writing. Others enjoy outdoor activities such as gardening, walking, or enjoying a good book as they sit by the river.
Our goal is to make things easy for you so that you can focus on the things that bring you the most happiness and relaxation. Resident services staff are available to help with anything large or small that will make life more livable. Examples of these services include helping to coordinate family visits and parties, arranging complex transportation needs, connecting with supportive health services to aid with recovery, and assistance with a variety of maintenance needs around the apartment.
